Mr David Vilensky

David Vilensky (54) is a practising lawyer and managing partner of Perth law firm Bowen Buchbinder Vilensky.  He has more than 25 years of experience in the fields of corporate and business law and in commercial and corporate management.  Mr Vilensky is also regarded as a specialist on Trade Practice Law.  Mr Vilensky was on the board of listed telecommunications carrier Swiftel Ltd for 3 years where he was also the chairman of its audit committee, and remained on the board of People Telecom Ltd after its successful $40m merger with Swiftel Ltd in 2005.  Mr Vilensky acts for a number of listed and unlisted companies and is the immediate past chairman of Law Australasia, an independent association of Australian and New Zealand law firms.

Mr Vilensky is the chairman of Prodemas International Ltd, a public unlisted company which provides project management services to the global resources industry and is also the chairman of Latin Resources Pty Ltd, a company with exploration interests in Peru.


Mr Simon Francis Durack B.Comm, Post Grad Dip Bus, CA, FCIS

Mr. Durack is a Chartered Accountant and practicing Company Secretary, with over 28 years commercial experience gained working in Australia, South East Asia and Europe.

Mr. Durack's commercial experience includes time worked in the Accounting profession with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). He has also held many senior financial and secretarial roles with both large public and private entities. In these roles, Mr. Durack has been responsible for providing managerial, secretarial and financial advisory input. Mr. Durack has also acted as resident Director for several offshore companies with operations in Australia.

 

Mr Richard Leonard Procter  BSc Eng; CEng; MBA; MIMMM

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR • AUSTRALIAN

Richard Procter is a mining engineer with over 30 years broad international experience covering corporate, operations, contracting, consulting and project developments. He has held senior industry positions that have demonstrated leadership and management of base and precious metal mining concerns; development of bankable feasibility studies and their conversion into mining operations; managed teams undertaking mining asset evaluations and valuations including technical and operational audits (encompassing complete mining asset due diligence and expert reports).

Richard has also been involved in many mining operation start-ups (both small and large) - as well as the re-engineering of large ongoing operations.

Richard has, and continues to provide, technical and strategic planning advice to both mining and industrial organisations.

 

Mr Emmanuel Heyndrickx  MSc

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR • UNITED KINGDOM

Mr. Heyndrickx is a qualified accountant and holds a degree in Business Economics (MSc) from the University of Ghent, Belgium, supplemented with a Masters in Financial Management from the Vlerick Management School, Belgium. 

Mr. Heyndrickx has many years of Corporate Finance experience with a number of European investment banks and has lead and executed many public and private mandates.

Mr Frank Vanspeybroeck

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER • AUSTRALIAN


Mr. Frank Vanspeybroeck has over 28 years’ experience in the exploration and mining industry in Australia.  His experience includes gold mining, commissioning and operating processing plants.  Mr Vanspeybroeck was the founder and director until 2007 of Wedgetail Exploration NL (Millennium Minerals Ltd), a gold mining company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange which owns the Nullagine gold project in Western Australia, and was the founder and Managing Director from February 2006 until December 2010 of China Goldmines plc, a gold mining company listed on the AIM (UK) Stock Exchange.

 

Frank has taken over the management of the project development, logistics and drilling and is experienced in infrastructure, logistics and project development having residing in China for 5 years developing a gold project in China.


 

Mr Willie Sweta M.Sc (Met), Dipl (Min. Eng)


EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN, MWEMBESHI RESOURCES • ZAMBIAN

Mr. Sweta is a very well known and respected person within the mining industry of Zambia as well as within the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Mr Sweta’s extensive work experience within the mining industry includes Roan Selection Trust (RST) and Anglo- American (Nchanga Consolidated Copper Mines), Noranda Mines (Gaspe Copper Mines, Murdochville , Quebec ) and Department of Energy, Minerals and Resources (EMR, Canada ) and Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines Ltd (ZCCM). Mr Sweta has a M.Sc, Metallurgical Engineering, from Leningrad University , USSR and also gained a Professional Development (Min. Eng) diploma from McGill University, Canada.

 

 

Mr Pierre Malherbe B.Comm Investment Man; B.Comm (Hons) Acc; M.Comm Business Management

 

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER • AUSTRALIAN

 

Mr Malherbe has served as Chief Financial Officer of the Company since August 2009 and has a sound knowledge of the Company and its operations. Mr. Malherbe's experience both in South Africa and Australia includes 23 years in the Investment Banking, Finance and Mining industries gained with some of the major banks in South Africa where he held senior financial and managerial positions within these Banks and was responsible for managerial, transactional and financial input across all spectrums, including: mining, construction, aviation and other capital intensive projects as well as senior management positions within mining and financial industries in Australia. In addition, Mr Malherbe holds a Master of Business Management (Master of Commerce) postgraduate degree from the University of Johannesburg, an Honours degree majoring in Accounting - Bachelor of Commerce (Hons)(Acc) and a Bachelor of Commerce Investment Management degree from the University of Johannesburg.
